J'ai pris ce modèle car il dispose d'un port POE ce qui me permet d'alimenter une borne wifi de chez Mikrotik aussi.Bonne performance, encombrement faible, je suis entièrement satisfait.Je l'utilise en remplacement d'une Livebox fibre Sosh, au débit max permis par ma fibre (35-40Mo/s) le CPU est à 50% d'utilisation, il en a encore sous le pied.

Let me start off by saying that I've also deployed one of mikrotik's cloud core routers at work. I'd expected this small home version to be less customizable, but that was not the case.RouterOS and winbox are extremely powerful tools which offer the same (if not more) network customization options and raw throughput as Cisco devices that are 2-4 times the price.This little home network router has pretty much the same features as a $1200 Cisco router, but obviously with less packet processing power.Now this thing isn't just plug and go in case you're looking for a simple home router, but I think if you can use a computer without having to call your nephew for help every week you'll be fine. There's a quick automatic config option for beginners. 10 minutes on YouTube and you'll have a gaming router for half the price.I was tired of using comcast's weak modem/router. The webui was buggy and slow. I've now got load balancing, QoS that can be customized by client, connection, traffic type, and even level 7 application protocol.If you want to set up a mesh wifi, hot spots, or controlled access points you can (with added hardware of course).If you want to set up VPNs, generate certs, maintain blacklists and whitelists, prevent port scans flood and brute force attacks, and use syn cookies, you can. If you want to monitor network traffic, set up vlans, maintain multiple local networks, and block specific applications, you can! In a $60 router! And that's maybe 20% of what you can do.Did you break the config? Cool just reset it and load a backup.Hardware died? Cool just load your backup onto a new mikrotik router. Most settings are compatible even between different models. I loaded the config from the cloudcore router at work to this hexs and had it working on 15 minutes.I'm sorry if this is kind of long winded but I love these routers!

I got this to replace my ISP-supplied wifi router, and paired it with the Unifi AP-AC Pro. The new setup works really well after a little manual setup (novice-intermediate skill level).Only a couple of issues:1) The PoE port cannot power my Unifi AP. I got this unit thinking it could (other non-Pro Unifi APs can be powered using this passive PoE). I had to order a separate a PoE power block. This is my fault for not checking the specs more carefully.2) After switching to this router, I couldn't access my NAS using its hostname. It seems this is a common "issue" among first-time Mikrotik users, and there are plenty of resources on Mikrotik's forum. Turns out I can either manually assign a hostname to a specific IP/MAC, or use scripts (involving intermediate skills). I just wish there was a built-in function for this (my reason for docking a star).In hindsight, I think I could've used the cheaper Mikrotik hEX RB750Gr3, which has the same hardware minus the passive PoE out (since I had to buy a separate PoE injector) and the SFP port (which I don't think I'll ever use). Otherwise this is router is pretty solid and highly customizable.

I bought this to use vlan tagging and PPPOE to connect to my fiber internet provider. I am very happy thus far. Speeds are much improved and consistent compared to my last DDWRT router; even better than the ISP provided router that would cut out all of the time. There is a lot of functionality in this router that I have no idea how to use, but it was not too bad to set up for what I needed. I tried to use the port 5 to POE power my Unifi LR AP, but it did not work; probably something I am doing wrong, but it looked like they should be compatible from what I looked up. I have no regrets buying this.

Great if you just need a few ports, pushed packets very very quickly.

Good quality for money. You will need a higher level of networking knowledge to program
